We are pleased to announce a new release of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Database Migration (DMS) to improve your user experience.
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Database Migration is a fully-managed service that provides a high performing, self-service experience for migrating databases to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). It provides logical online and offline migration for enterprise-level database migration with minimal downtime. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Database Migration is based on industry-leading Oracle Zero Downtime Migration engine utilizing Oracle GoldenGate replication.
The new features include:
◉ Amazon RDS as a source - You can now migrate Amazon RDS for Oracle databases to OCI autonomous and co-managed databases using offline migration.
◉ Interactive Cloud Premigration Advisor (CPAT) results - Browse and filter results of CPAT directly in the OCI Console and exclude offending objects or use remedial scripts. CPAT performs analysis of the source database, looking for database features that are not supported or problematic when migrating to Oracle's Autonomous Cloud offerings.
◉ Auto-create tablespaces - Choose between auto-creating or remapping tablespaces on target database.
◉ Dynamic display of excluded objects - Provide report of source database objects excluded from migration and why they were excluded.
