In the 2021 Gartner Report, "Critical Capabilities for Cloud Database Management Systems (DBMS) Operational Use Cases", Oracle (Autonomous Transaction Processing) received the highest scores in all four use cases. This is the fourth year in a row that Oracle Autonomous Database optimized for transaction processing and mixed workloads (ATP) has achieved the highest scores for all four operational use cases.
The Cloud DBMS operational use cases analyzed by Gartner are, Traditional Transactions, Augmented Transaction Processing, Stream/Event Processing and Operational Intelligence. Gartner’s analysis synthesizes insight gleaned from product information provided by vendors, information gathered from interactions with Gartner clients, and information gathered through various other sources, including Gartner Peer insights and secondary research.
